YEAR BY YEAR OF J BRINDON ADDY
1993: Opened J Brindon Addy Butchers & Graziers Raw
From my granddad’s barn, our first store opened, selling raw meat only.
A small bake house was established upstairs. We started to cook meats and make our own pork pies.
A small fridge was constructed in the outbuilding to dry age our beef.
We relocated next door, and started using the old shop as a prep room.
We became members of the Q Guild.
Became a Ltd company.
We built a prep room around the back of the shop, which we extended so that it was doubled in size. This enabled us to have a separate deli and butchery area.
2009 to 2012
Brindon became regional Q Guild Chairman.
2012 to 2015
Brindon became national Q Guild Chairman.
An extension to the shop was built to become J Brindon Addy Butchers & Food Hall.
We built another prep unit with a dedicated dry aging fridge, a pie production area, and an office space to the rear of the premises. This enabled us to extend the shop further, as we were now able to use the space that contained the prior office and old dry aging unit. This increased floor space for the addition of wine and spirits.
